The visit has also given me the chance to visit Lygon Street, where I've been eating off and on for more than 20 years, and Scots where I've been worshipping off and on for the same length of time.

Melbourne 2
Visiting Melbourne has given me the chance to chase up lots of people I collaborate with for work (though not quite all of them), as well as to meet interesting new people. One of the conference delegates was planning to go to Moore College after finishing his PhD.
The visit has also given me the chance to visit Lygon Street, where I've been eating off and on for more than 20 years, and Scots where I've been worshipping off and on for the same length of time.

I like Scotts, the preaching was good when I went there, and people were nice. I liked the singing too. Not too built up but not crusty either. Plus, able to find parking!
Doing Moore after a PhD, man, he is going to be over-educated, but I'm sure he will also have very useful knowledge :)
And apparently Scots has a great student minister. :)
